If they say “anything can be used as a canvas”, they mean it. Choose from kites to plywood, you can paint on almost anything.

Abstract art is a way to open your mind up to new visions. Make a decision on what you’d like to create and then go for it.
Make it light and simple.
This step-bystep guide will help you decorate your kites so that they are ready to fly when the season comes. The first idea requires a plain white kite as well as acrylic paints, sponges and paintbrushes.
Use the colors you like and the tips below to create abstract artwork on your kite.
1. First, dab the sponge’s flat surface with the paint in the palette plate. See the light texture that appears on the kite after you have rubbed the sponge over it.
Be sure your kite’s color isn’t too bright so that you don’t miss the texture and abstract art.
You can use the sponge to create multi-color designs or mix your colors.
2. After the sponge art is dry, you can express yourself by using paintbrushes like pencils to draw whatever and however you want on the surface of the kite.
Do not press too hard. Kite paper can become fragile, especially if it becomes damp. This technique should not be rushed, but instead take each step slowly.
3. Let the abstract paint dry after you’ve made all of your strokes and shapes. Once the paint is completely dry, it will be ready to fly.
A hairdryer can be used to create abstract art on your kite.
This project requires a kite and acrylic paints. A hairdryer is also required.
You can paint abstract art onto your kite by following the instructions below.
To create an art texture that is mesmerizing, you must first decide which colors to use. In the final steps, these colors will no longer be distinct. They will instead merge together.
You can now begin the actual process for creating abstract art. Pour paint directly from the containers into small tins or bowls. To avoid ruining your first painting, it’s better to place them in smaller bowls.
Paint should not be allowed to touch the floor or table. Place old newspaper underneath.
Start by pouring the lightest shade first. Then, pour a darker shade and so on until you reach the darkest color.
It is possible to reverse the order, or you can combine the shades according to the order in which they were poured. The kite will have a large glob of paint. Work fast to avoid the paper ripping from the dampness.
3. The time has come to create your abstract masterpiece. Turn on your hairdryer, and move it slowly over the paint glob. Move from the inside of the kite to the outside. You can alter the direction you move in, but it’s up the artist how they want to create their art.
You can create spreads on the canvas by moving the hairdryer inwards over the paint. Merging the colors and creating new shades in some cases after they have been mixed.
4. Last step, let the abstract painting completely dry. Check that there are no tears in the paper. Because the paper can be fragile, pour only a small amount of paint on your kite.
5. Last but not least, finish your kite with the final touches. Attach the piece to serve as the tail. It will trail behind the kite while it is flying in the sky.
You will first need to allow one side to completely dry before painting the other.
